Dear Programmers, True Friends, and Supporters
As you have heard me say on several occasions, WAIF is not a “Ham Radio Station” or
some experimental “Low Power” Radio Station. In other words, this is not your
“Father’s Radio Station.”
We are now in the next phase of WAIF’s continued growth and development as one of
the country’s foremost All Volunteer Public Radio Station. As a result, WAIF has
become, and is now a major player in the “Business of Communication.”
I Am Sure You know,…. WAIF has recently built a new and exciting Web Site. Now all of
WAIF’s Programmers and listeners are able to log onto WAIF’s New and Modern
Interactive Web Page at www.waif883.org.
Plus, You will soon be able to submit information regarding your show, special events,
special guess appearing on your show, and your personal Blog for publication. In
addition, you and your listens will even be able to securely donate online. Also, WAIF’s
listeners are now able to log onto our internet stream from anywhere in the world.
With the moral and financial help and support of our dedicated Programmers,
Members, True Friends and Supporters, WAIF has grown into an important __
Not-For-Profit Corporation, that proudly owns its own building and modern broadcast
studios, all debt free.
If you are thinking about Underwriting Your Favorite Show, please take notice, that
WAIF now has a far ranging listenership that covers, Southern and Mid-West Ohio,
Northern Kentucky, and Parts of Western Indiana. The demographics of this Tri- State
area includes well over a Million Potential Listeners.
Of Course, the phenomenal growth and sound financial condition of WAIF did not occur
by accident, but rather by skilled Administration, good business practices and planning,
plus, the implementation of solid fiscal policies, and the careful management of our
assets by past and current Boards of Trustees.
As WAIF continues to grow in both size, importance, and influence, our maintenance,
modernization, and operating costs have significantly increased as well. Nevertheless,
it’s the “GOAL” of this Board of Trustees, and I hope it is your Goal as well, to continue
the phenomenal growth of WAIF in the year of 2010, and beyond.
Among this year’s Goals, the Board of Trustees plans to purchase a new
“Broadcast Transmitter” and replace our building’s roof. The Board of Trustees believes
“WE CAN” achieve these GOALs, if we all continue to strive hard, and realize the
importance “Your Participation” in our Spring and Fall Memberthons, and other Fund
Raising Drives.
Therefore, I am asking all of our regular programmers, summer programmers, their
program co-hosts, all substitutes, all of our wonderful members, our true friends, our dedicated listeners, underwriters, generous donors, and faithful supporters _ on behalf of the Board of Trustees, please continue to help WAIF to reach our financial Goals, and help make 2010__ WAIF’s Greatest Year Of Growth And Progress.
